West Bromwich based metal pressings manufacturer Berck secured a £1m contract with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) for a new line of vehicles.
The new contract will see Berck making cable harness assemblies, battery terminal contacts and cable management solutions to eliminate the over-heating of wires in the engine.
Berck managing director, Darren Yates, highlighted the company’s reputation for customer service as a key to winning big contracts.
“We have gained a reputation for really looking after our customers. We realise that they are busy people and we have always endeavoured to make it as easy for them as we can.”
The extra work has enabled the firm to add two employees to their current workforce of 63 people.
The company has also been able to double their current total by adding two new apprentices to their team.
