North Yorkshire-based steel fabricator Allerton Group has a new majority shareholder in the shape of David Cunningham – owner of tax consultancy Glencairn and Co.
The company, located in Northallerton, was originally established 60 years ago, and now inhabits a 2.5 acre site with almost 100 employees.
“I have been a shareholder in Allerton for seven years and during that time I have seen the company grow and expand to more than treble its original size,” said Cunningham, who now owns 84 per cent of the firm. “We have expansion plans for the future of the Allerton Group and I look forward to seeing these put into fruition in the next few years.”
