Contract manufacturing SME, Newburgh Engineering, has been awarded a bronze award under the SC21 supply chain excellence programme.
The SC21 programme was originally established by trade body ADS and industry leaders in 2006 to help define excellence in the UK defence manufacturing supply chain.
The programme is now widely used, both by ADS members and manufacturers in the wider defence and aerospace supply chains as a template for change and performance improvement.
Newburgh director Matthew Jewitt commented on Newburgh’s achievement saying it “benchmarks both our business performance and our approach to the long term partnerships that we maintain.”
Mr Jewitt continued to say that receiving the SC21 Bronze Award at this time is an especially important recognition of the firm’s enduring dedication to excellence and improvement because it now approaching it 75th anniversary.
