Old CEO returns to Bentley as Chairman

Bentley Motors has appointed Wolfgang Dürheimer as Chairman.

The new Chairman has already worked at Bentley as chief executive from 2011-2012 but left to work for Audi and is currently general representative of the Volkswagen Group responsible for motor-sport.

He will return to the luxury car marque in June to replace Wolfgang Schreiber who now holds the position of chairman and chief executive.

Mr Dürheimer returns to Bentley at an important time for the car manufacturer.

It is preparing for expansion and the manufacture of all its parent company Volkswagon’s powerful W12 engines.

This decision, announced in March this year after the manufacturer returned positive annual figures, will create around 100 jobs in Crewe.
