Founded in 1964, 2014 sees Pektron celebrate 50 years in business.
Pektron is a global electronics supplier supporting customers in delivering tailored solutions through its leading edge electronics design, test and manufacturing expertise.
From its early days supplying the brewing industry in Burton-upon-Trent, to current business supporting blue chip companies around the world, Pektron has always focused on its engineering expertise and re-invested heavily.
Founder George Morgan commented: “We started Pektron to explore the possibilities and help businesses with problems that could be solved with electronics which at the time was a new and emerging technology. Whether brewing, health and safety or automotive – we would understand the challenge and innovate electronics to help advance our customers products, help save them money and succeed in their markets. That principle is as relevant and true today, as it was 50 years ago.”
Looking forward, business is booming for Pektron, with record levels of growth, particularly in its export markets.
Pektron remains very much an independently run business, and attributes its long term success to its employees.
Robert Morgan, engineering director explains: “I firmly believe our success lies with the great people we have in the business. Whether they are developing new products, testing a component to destruction, developing a new piece of software or striving to manufacture the parts to meet customer delivery requirements, it is their pride and dedication to the quality of work they produce that keeps our business growing. This celebration is a small thank you to them all for their efforts.”
Pektron will celebrate with the team later in the year, to toast the achievements of the past 50 years and look forward to continued success in the future.
