Sustainable power company ENER-G is running free seminars this spring on how to prepare for the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC).
Under the new legislation companies with one or more half-hourly electricity supplies and consuming in excess of 6,000 MWh (roughly equating to an annual electricity bill of £500,000) will be required to purchase carbon allowances to cover annual emissions.
The seminars: London (24 March); Birmingham (26 March); Edinburgh (31 March); Manchester (2 April) are aimed at energy, facilities and financial managers and will explore the implications, mechanics, timescales, costs and benefits of the CRC.
