Production slowdown at Honda Swindon

Honda’s Swindon factory is to reduce production over four months to deal with the effects of the economic downturn.

Production of the Civic model is to drop by 10 per cent, although the company’s plans to begin work on the new Jazz range in autumn 2009 are so far not affected.

Honda maintains the output reduction will not pose any problems to its 4,800 Swindon workforce.
