A £6.6 million MOD chemical, radiological, biological and nuclear suit order has been placed with disabled employer Remploy.
“This order with Remploy will build on improvements we have already made to the protection of our forces against nuclear, biological and chemical threats,” said Baroness Taylor, Minister for Defence Equipment and Support.
Remploy has been making specialist protection suits for many years, and its workforce includes many ex-service personnel who were injured in the second world war.
