Measurement probe manufacturer Renishaw is opening a new facility in Canada next month.
The 17,500 sq ft facility in Mississauga, Ontario, allows Renishaw to support the company’s export sales.
Ben Taylor, Renishaw Group’s assistant chief executive, will formally open the event on July 12 with active demonstrations of the company’s technologies.
Products on display will include the REVO 5-axis scanning system and the new PH20 5-axis touch trigger probe for co-ordinate measuring machines.
Dafydd Williams, Renishaw’s director and general manager for Canada, said: “This investment marks a further chapter in Renishaw’s ongoing commitment to the Canadian market, where we have been successfully trading for more than nine years.”
During the event guests can also be taken around the surrounding area in a SUV fitted with the Dynascan system, which will scan and build up a 3D map of the entire surrounding environment. The system is a product of MDL, Renishaw’s associate company.
