The British Chambers of Commerce and Santander have entered into a partnership to support UK SME exporters.

Santander is partnering with the British Chambers of Commerce on their online export platform, Export Britain.

The online service from the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is designed to showcase opportunities in key international markets, and link UK exporters to the support available from British Chambers and their partners around the world.

The international bank Santander has said it is committed to supporting the growth of international trade. It has more than 14,000 branches worldwide and a network of international alliance partners. It also provides an International Desk in each of the markets it operates in, dedicated to helping customers who want to grow their business overseas.

Santander’s new support for BCCs online platform comes during the International Festival for Business, a six–week festival hosted by the City of Liverpool. This festival is designed to promote international trade between the UK and the rest of the world. Santander as a key partner to this event and BCC is hosting a number of events there.

Commenting on the partnership, John Carroll, Head of International at Santander Corporate and Commercial Banking, said the bank was delighted to start a new avenue of support for international trade.

“Together with our market-leading and innovative solutions like the Trade Portal and the Trade Club, this is another way in which we can provide support for companies breaking into new markets,” he said.
