Saxdor Yachts begins US production at Florida facility

Saxdor Yachts has started manufacturing boats in the US for the first time, expanding its production footprint to meet demand across the Americas.

The Finnish boatbuilder, now part of Malibu Boats Inc., has begun production at the group’s facility in Fort Pierce, Florida, complementing its established manufacturing operations in Poland and Finland.

The first US-built Saxdor 320 GTO has been completed, with serial production now underway. Production of the 270 GTO is expected to follow shortly, with further models set to be added as the operation develops.

The move brings more of Saxdor’s manufacturing closer to its North American customers and dealer network, forming part of a wider investment in the region.

Expanding manufacturing and after-sales support

Alongside its US production operations, Saxdor is strengthening its dealer and service network across the Americas, with recent appointments in Canada, Argentina and the Caribbean.

In the US, an agreement with MarineMax will allow Malibu Boats dealers to represent Saxdor in areas not currently covered by the brand’s existing dealer, extending its reach across additional markets.

The Americas represent a key market for Saxdor, and we are continuing to invest in the foundations needed to support its long-term growth.

Don Smith, President of Sales for the Americas at Saxdor Yachts

He continued: “With the first 320 GTO now completed and more models to follow, we are bringing our production closer to our US customers while continuing to invest in the dealer, service and product infrastructure needed to support our long-term ambitions in the region.”

New models and technology

Saxdor is also expanding its product range in the US. At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the company is showcasing its flagship 460 GTC and introducing the 350 GTW, an updated version of the 340 GTWA.

The revised 350 GTW features an updated sliding-door system that opens up the sides of the wheelhouse, alongside changes to the helm console, cabin storage and seating options. It will also be available with twin Mercury Verado V10 350hp engines.

Meanwhile, the 460 GTS, which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival, is undergoing final testing ahead of serial production, with its US launch planned for mid-2027. A further version, the 460 GTC with an aft cabin, is also in development.

Technology remains another area of focus. Saxdor has introduced Simrad AutoCaptain autonomous docking technology and Boat IQ, an AI companion integrated into the boat’s multifunction displays and connected to the company’s Saxdor AI knowledge platform.

With US production now underway, Saxdor is expanding its manufacturing footprint while developing the products, dealer coverage and technical support needed to grow its presence in North America.
