Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer – the world’s fourth largest commercial jet maker – has announced a marked rise in profits thanks to an increase in orders.
Fourth quarter sales were up by $0.82 billion compared to the same quarter of 2006, resulting in net profit for the final quarter of $200.9 million (£99 million) compared to $124.4 million a year earlier.
The company plans to deliver between 195 and 200 aircraft during 2008.
