Spillard Safety Systems is due to help eliminate road transport blind spots with the unveiling of its new Optronics HD range at the Commercial Vehicle Show later this month.
Spillard will use the event (April 25 – 27) to showcase its Optronics HD range of safety systems, including Optronics Foresight – an advanced digital HD video recording system.
This will be the first appearance of the innovative solutions to counter blind spots on the road. Experts will be on hand to discuss the capabilities of the innovative Optronics HD range, such as Optronics Foresight and the All Round Control System that provides companies with an integrated solution for managing numerous different solutions all at one time, including seat belt sensors and nearside object detection.
The technology has been hailed as providing users with crystal clear vision and the ability to never lose sight of road dangers again.
Its managing director, Pete Spillard explained: “We have been at the forefront of eliminating blind spots for more than two decades now and reinforced that last year with the launch of the Optronics Wide Eye camera system, which provides an 180° view of the nearside of a vehicle, something that had not been done before.
He continued: “What we’ve also noticed is that our technology is increasingly being used to prove responsibility when accidents happen and some of our clients have saved thousands on claims and insurance premiums. The fact that the recording is now in HD means vehicle number plates are visible so there will never be any question of who is responsible.”
Due to celebrate its 25th anniversary later this year, Spillard Safety Systems has evolved to become one of the UK’s largest mobile safety equipment suppliers. The Commercial Vehicle sector is worth around 35% of its £4m sales, and represents a significant 126% increase over the past 12 months.
