Maintenance workers from at Shell’s research centre in Cheshire will strike later this month.
Employed by Eurest Support Services, but working at Shell’s research centre, the maintenance workers will be striking on Monday 21 January.
The maintenance workers’ dispute started after the company reneged on its agreed offer a pay offer.
Unite the union claim that workers have been bullied and intimidated as part of an attack on unionised workers, which led to staff going off sick with stress and anxiety.
The maintenance workers took industrial action over the Christmas period and more is threatened after Monday’s action – unless the management gets around the negotiating table.
Unite regional officer Graham Daley said: “I am appalled at management’s attitude towards the union and its attacks on their loyal workforce.”
