Choosing the right supervisors and managers is one of the many important steps you can take to strengthen the manufacturing lines in your company.

Workers tend to work better and more efficiently when they are working under those with a high level of emotional intelligence, according to studies complied by the University of Maryland’s online MBA program.

Emotional intelligence helps supervisors and managers pick up signs from non-verbal communications. A high level of EI will also help supervisors resolve conflicts more efficiently, maintaining a productive manufacturing line in the process. On top of that, people with high emotional intelligence often lead by example and are liked more by the people they lead.

The same studies also discovered that having a team led by someone with a high level of emotional intelligence results in better productivity and return on investment.
