Tata Motors has reported total sales of 92,119 commercial and passenger vehicles in February 2012, a 19% increase over February 2011.
The company’s domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for February 2012 were 86,704, higher by 19% over 73,039, sold in February last year.
Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal year are 806,354, a growth of 12% over the 719,976 vehicles sold last year.
Sales of commercial vehicles last month in the domestic market were 51,872, a 26% growth on February last year.
The passenger vehicles business reported a total sale and distribution offtake of 36,536, 8% higher than this time last year: 9,217 Tata Nano were sold, while the Indica range saw a 4% increase and the Indigo range a 4% decrease. Tata Motors also announced that Jaguar Land Rover sales in India continued their upward trend.
Compared to February last year, exports increased by 20%.
