The top-ten privately-owned manufacturing firms have been revealed by the Daily Telegraph today, with the yellow-digger maker JCB topping the list.
As part of an ongoing feature which will reveal the 100 most successful private British firms, split by sector, the manufacturing instalment was published today.
The Telegraph compiled its lists based on data provided by business information firm Jordans but says its editors had subjective input.
The top ten, as per the Telegraph’s list, are:
1. JCB – turnover £2.25 billion
2. TI Automotive – £1.5 billion
3. Baxi Group – £943 million
4. Vita Group – £786 million
5. Doncasters – £691 million
6. Caparo Group – £686 million
7. Marshall Group – £633 million
8. Dyson – £514 million
9. Seton House Group – £382 million
10. Alexander Dennis – £266 million
