The manufacturer has invested £12m to install new mixing and processing equipment at its site in Grantham, and the company’s first fully-contained ‘free-from’ factory will also be created at the site as a result of the investment.

New automation technology has also been installed at Moy Park’s Anwick facility as part of a £6m investment, increasing the production efficiency of the site.

The investments have been made as part of an ongoing investment programme, as the company seeks to meet rising consumer demand for poultry products.

Moy Park invested £20m earlier this year to build the ‘UK’s largest single-build hatchery’ as part of this strategy, and these new investments will further enhance its processing capabilities.

Supply chain director at Moy Park Keith Irvine said: “We are committed to continued investment in our production facilities to ensure that we are able to lead the industry in innovation, food safety, quality and efficiency. Our customers, rightly, have high expectations and we are focused on ensuring we meet and exceed those expectations at all times.

“These investments in state of the art processes will enable us to take another large step forward as a business and will provide fantastic development opportunities for our people.”
