Marco Cable Management, the UK’s largest manufacturer of steel cable tray, received Wales’ First Minister to help celebrate a year of strong performance and product development.
Labour minister Carwyn Jones toured Marco Cable Management’s plant in Llangefni this week with managing director Ian MacGregor.
Marco Cables has grown quickly since its launch just nine years ago. The business now employs 60 people and is looking to recruit further employees in the next 12-18 months. The target is to treble turnover in the next five years, according to local newspaper the Daily Post.
In 2011 the company opened additional premises to meet growing demand and also launched several new specialist products to extend its portfolio of uPVC trunking and steel wire tray systems.
Following the ministerial visit Mr MacGregor said that he was delighted to welcome Wales’ First Minister. “He was extremely impressed with the business and we were able to describe our journey during the past nine years and to discuss our plans for the future,” said MacGregor.
