A Chadderton-based wire and mesh fabrication specialist has confirmed plans for growth after reaching its twentieth anniversary landmark.

AMP Wire, founded by managing director Pam Pelham in March 1994, says it intends to expand its apprenticeship programme, improve its e-commerce offering and refresh its logo with new signage to be fitted to the exterior and interior of its Oldham headquarters.

Currently the UK’s biggest manufacturer of storage equipment, security products and unique bespoke items made from high quality steel wire, AMP Wire’s product range spans CCTV camera guards to pizza display stands, industrial lockers to point of sale material.

Pelham said: “To make sure we have stood the test of time we have invested significantly in equipment and technology and staff training and development.

“This is how we will be approaching the next chapter in the company’s history and I have ambitious plans for the further growth of AMP Wire. We have already seen a surge in demand through our e-commerce activity and are looking for 10,000 sq ft of additional space to service new and existing customers.”
