Wisconsin Oven Corporation, located in East Troy, has announced the shipment of six (6) heavy-duty Walk-In Batch Ovens to a manufacturer of products for the energy industry, which will be used for baking glue onto products.
The batch ovens have a maximum operating temperature of 500°F and guaranteed temperature uniformity of ±5°F at 285°F. A combination airflow configuration ensures even heat distribution throughout the chambers to optimize heating rates and temperature uniformity. Nine (9) point profile tests were conducted in each empty chamber under static operating conditions to verify temperature uniformity.
The work chamber dimensions of each oven are 7’ wide x 12’ long x 8’ high. They are constructed using Wisconsin Oven’s patented high-efficiency panel seams, which provide 25% better insulating efficiency compared to traditional designs. The bi-parting doors include a window in the front right door to allow for easy monitoring and the floors have chamfered front edges for smooth loading.
The walk-in ovens are controlled by Allen-Bradley GuardLogix PLCs with 10” PanelView Plus touchscreens for intuitive operations. The systems include alarms for blower failure, burner failure, and over-temperature conditions to ensure safe operation. Upgraded process timers allow for selectable auto-shutdown and guaranteed air temperature soak settings. Additional control features include maintenance diagnostics, recipe storage, real-time and historical data recording and ethernet communication capabilities.
These ovens are equipped with Wisconsin Oven’s exclusive DataSense® industrial IoT Performance Monitoring System which allows remote monitoring and diagnosis of the ovens. The system collects information from predictive maintenance sensors to track the performance and health of a variety of components and conditions on the equipment.
Mark Schahczinski, Senior Sales Engineer at Wisconsin Oven, said: “We are proud to continue our partnership with this valued customer who has purchased multiple ovens from Wisconsin Oven over the years. Their trust in our products is a testament to our commitment to providing high quality equipment and building long term relationships with our customers.”
