Sofia Karlén is the Smart Factory Product Management Lead at Mars Inc Petcare. She spoke to us at this year’s Smart Manufacturing Week 2025 and argues that while digital transformation is all about standardsation and scale, we also need to talk about sustainable success.

Sofia went into this in her keynote at the show, entitled Scalable and Sustainable Digital Factory Transformation: from Local Pilot to Global Standard By defining processes, securing people, funding and technology (foundations/data), she says that large manufacturing companies can safely adopt new technologies, including AI, to meet evolving market demands effectively.
