Beyond Security: How Cloud-Managed Physical Security Is Driving Operational Excellence in Manufacturing

Most manufacturers can tell you what their security system costs. Few can tell you what their blind spots cost.

Security systems used to mean cameras and access infrastructure for after-the-fact investigation. Cloud-managed platforms are turning that into live operational intelligence. Join us for a conversation built around three questions IT, security, facilities and estates leaders are asking right now.

The true cost of doing nothing: Aging camera and access systems don’t fail loudly. They fail slowly, through rising costs and compounding risk.

Cloud is the future. What should you actually expect from it? Cloud-managed security now means multi-site oversight, cyber resilience by design, and open architecture connecting to the rest of the business. We’ll unpack what that looks like in practice, including what AI really means on the factory floor, and why protecting people matters as much as protecting perimeters.

From reactive to proactive: The bigger shift isn’t technical, it’s behavioural – moving from “how do we respond when something goes wrong” to “how do we see it coming and prevent it.”

We’ll share real examples of near-misses caught before they escalate, and look at where security is heading next, from a health and safety and facilities management tool today, to drones and quadruped robots extending coverage tomorrow.
