The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has strengthened its membership base after its Board of Directors approved the addition of six companies and a new Responsible Care partner at its February meeting.

Three organisations joined as Manufacturing members. Global Oxo chemicals producer OXEA was admitted, supplying intermediates used in coatings, lubricants, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and plastics. Thatcher Company, a family-owned manufacturer and distributor, was recognised for its custom blending and technical expertise supporting water treatment, agriculture and energy markets. Also joining was Valentra, which operates pipeline-connected sites on the U.S. Gulf Coast for the production and storage of methanol-based chemical intermediates, including formalin.

Logistics specialist Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) was approved as an Affiliate member. The company is the largest tank-truck transporter in North America, providing distribution services to a range of specialised industries.

A further two firms were admitted as Associate members: EFESO Management Consultants, an operations strategy and performance improvement consultancy, and Xylem Inc., a technology company focused on smart water solutions for utilities and industrial users.

ACC also welcomed Quantix Managed Solutions as a Responsible Care partner, recognising its long-standing role in chemical logistics and supply-chain optimisation.

“ACC is the premier trade association delivering unmatched value for companies engaged in the business of chemistry,” said ACC President and CEO Chris Jahn. He added that the organisation’s advocacy and Responsible Care programme enable members to “innovate, invest and grow, while strengthening U.S. competitiveness.”

The council said the expanded membership would enhance collaboration across manufacturing, distribution and service providers within the chemical sector.
