Global manufacturer of automation and industrial robotic solutions, FANUC UK, has opened the doors on its new £19m advanced headquarters at Ansty Park, Coventry.
The new 107,000 sqft facility would appear to reflect FANUC UK’s growth over recent years, as well as a new ‘unified’ approach for the future.
Four times larger than its previous location, all employees will now operate under one roof, with the three-story building consolidating its design, manufacturing, training, and showroom activities. Currently employing more than 100 people, FANUC UK anticipates workforce expansion over the coming months.
The expansion also enhances FANUC’s training academy offering, with the introduction of a new advanced course for more experienced engineers. The dedicated suite consists of four training rooms, each of which caters for up to eight students at any given time.
The FANUC Academy houses eight robots of various sizes, as well as 12 simulators for factory automation. Offering a blend of standard and bespoke programmes, all courses are reportedly strongly focused on hands-on, practical-based learning exploring the areas of programming and maintenance.
Managing director of FANUC UK, Tom Bouchier, explained: “Training is essential for our customers and our new training area is equipped with state-of-the-art robots, enabling users to fully exploit the capabilities of robotic technology. Our relocation will drive further growth, develop our team and strengthen our services, solidifying FANUC’s position in the UK as a market-leading manufacturer and solutions provider.”
According to the company, a primary motive behind the move to Ansty Park is the new sites strategic location, a hub of the UK motorway network and largely considered a key centre for UK technology and innovation.
