Brose UK is planning to build a new 11,400 m2 facility on brownfield land adjacent to its existing site in Exhall, Coventry.

As part of this, a number of the new recruits will be apprentices and graduates as part of the company’s commitment to generating the engineers and manufacturing professionals of the future.

They will be trained at the new £3m Training Academy launched in January.

The new facility will be responsible for delivering lightweight seat structures directly to three car makers in the UK. These will be for future model introductions and volumes could reach as many as 700,000 units per year.

Juergen Zahl, Brose UK’s managing director, commented: “Support from the Regional Growth Fund has accelerated our ability to open the new facility by early 2016 and gives us the platform to win future business within the Brose Group.
