UK clothing manufacturer Oliver Harvey has won a contract to supply chefs’ attire for Claridge’s new Fera restaurant.
Oliver Harvey, founded in 2010, is one of only a few manufacturers of chefs’ clothing in the UK.
The new contract with the prestigious London hotel will require delivery of over 200 chefs’ jackets and almost 500 aprons over two years. The aprons will carry a bespoke design for the Fera restaurant.
Today Oliver Harvey’s Manchester-based factory produces around 1,500 items of chefs’ attire a month.
Ian Mitchell, managing directr of Oliver Harvey praised the decision by the Claridge’s team and its head chef two Michelin starred Simon Rogan.
“Claridge’s are one of the highest quality hotels in Britain and Simon is well known for his focus on organic British ingredients,” he said. “We were thrilled that their commitment to provenance, quality and local sourcing has continued through into their choice in chefs clothing”.
This is not the first time Oliver Harvey have supplied chef whites into an entire restaurant with Manchester House, who recently featured on BBC2’s Restaurant Wars, selecting to use Oliver Harvey for its ambitious opening last year.
