Sheffield firm invests in innovative industrial 3D carbon fibre printing technology

A Sheffield design and additive manufacturing business has invested £100,000 in new technology to keep it at the cutting edge of industrial 3D printing.

Addition Design, based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park Technology Centre in Sheffield, has welcomed a new Stratasys F370CR FDM Composite Printer as part of its investment package. Read more via The Manufacturer

The latest addition to the Satellite Applications Catapult’s network of Space Enterprise Labs (SEL) has opened at the Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult in Newport, South Wales, providing companies and academics access to the latest collaborative technology, resources and expertise.

The innovative and inclusive services at the Space Enterprise Labs enable the virtual delivery of meetings, business sprints, user engagement spark sessions and other services, such as virtual whiteboards and built-in video conferencing, for everyone within the UK space sector to utilise. Cricketing legend and Australian trade envoy Lord Botham visits jukebox manufacturer Sound Leisure

In his role as the Prime Minister’s trade envoy to Australia, iconic former cricketer Lord Botham OBE visited Sound Leisure today. The manufacturer of classic jukeboxes, which has exported to Australia for over 20 years, has sold 15 of its jukeboxes to Australia in the last 12 months.

Employing more than 40 people at its Leeds head office and manufacturing centre, the £5m revenue family-owned Sound Leisure has again been named as an Export Champion for 2023 and sells 80% of its products overseas to customers in over 40 countries worldwide, including Australia, the US and Japan.
