Four artists have been commissioned to work with world-leading manufacturers as part of Art in Manufacturing, the headline commissioning programme for the National Festival of Making in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Babcock awarded new 12-year French Government contract
Babcock and Airbus Helicopters have been awarded a new contract to support the EC145 fleet of the Direction Générale de la Sécurité Civile and the French Gendarmerie Nationale.
The 12-year contract, awarded by the French Ministry of Armed Forces Directorate of Aeronautical Maintenance (DMAé), covers the aircraft in service support of a fleet of 48 Airbus EC145 helicopters across France mainland and overseas. More via Babcock
Go South Coast begins introduction of 44 new Alexander Dennis Enviro400 low-emission buses
Alexander Dennis has announced that it has commenced this year’s delivery of 44 Enviro400 buses to Go South Coast, part of the Go-Ahead Group.
Sixteen new double deckers were launched by multi-award winning Go South Coast for its Bluestar operating unit at an event in Southampton, where the company now is the main operator after expanding its network in 2023. More via Alexander Dennis
Siemens to transform engineering workforce of the future with new industry credential programme
Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced it has created a new programme to credential students and recognise career readiness, which will help create a stronger pipeline of engineering talent demanded by industry.
