Apprentices at national soft drinks manufacturer, Clearly Drinks, are celebrating their success as they complete their NVQ Level 3 and HNC Level 4 engineering apprenticeship programme at its Southwick site.

DS Smith Charitable Foundation funds major biodiversity project
DS Smith’s Launceston logistics site has worked in partnership with the local council, charities, and community groups, to develop and manage the 12-acre woodland for the local community to enjoy and for native animals, plants, and insects to thrive in. Black Country manufacturer expands with Kent acquisition
A Midlands-based manufacturing firm has expanded its geographic reach with the acquisition of a company based in Kent. Lucideon and the National Composites Centre partner to deliver next generation ceramic composites solutions
Lucideon and the National Composites Centre (NCC) have forged a closer collaboration to develop advanced ceramic composites solutions to meet a growing market demand for materials that survive in ever harsher environments.

Ford’s Lisa Brankin adds UK chair position to managing director role
Managing director Lisa Brankin has taken on the additional role of chairing Ford’s UK operations, effective immediately.

Cramlington-based manufacturer acquires ANF Ltd to support UK growth
Cramlington-based Reproflex3, a leading prepress, flexographic plate manufacturer and FMCG packaging print specialist, has acquired ANF Ltd in Shildon, County Durham, experts in the production of flexographic printing plates for the packaging industry.
The acquisition will support Reproflex3’s expansion inside the European corrugated packaging sector by increasing its production capabilities as well as growing its footprint in the pharmaceutical sector. Find out more at Bdaily News
ElectraMeccanica and Tevva announce proposed merger
ElectraMeccanica, a designer and assembler of electric vehicles, and Tevva, a pioneer in electric medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, have announced that they have entered into a definitive arrangement agreement, pursuant to which ElectraMeccanica and Tevva have agreed to combine by way of a British Columbia statutory plan of arrangement.
The attending members of the Boards of Directors of both companies unanimously approved the proposed transaction. The proposed transaction is intended to accelerate their combined ability to capture the growing opportunity in commercial electric trucks. Find out more at The Manufacturer
