Titan Manufacturing opens new state-of-the-art £1.8m site

Titan Manufacturing, a thriving precision manufacturing company in Weymouth, has opened a new £1.8m site, with parliamentary candidate for South Dorset Richard Drax invited to do the honours.

The new facility in Granby Industrial Estate is Titan’s new purpose-built production workshop, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for blasting and finishing, and creating 8 new jobs. More via The Manufacturer

JLR announces ‘Global Supplier Excellence Awards’ winners

For the eighth year, JLR hosted the annual Global Supplier Excellence Awards, celebrating over 50 of its top strategic suppliers for their impact and contribution towards the company’s most profitable year on record. Rolls-Royce and CATL agree strategic cooperation for TENER products in the EU and UK

Rolls-Royce, through its Power Systems division, and CATL, a global leader of new energy innovative technology, have signed a strategic co-operation agreement to launch CATL’s new TENER product line in the European Union (EU) and UK. The partnership will strengthen the ability of both companies to realise large and complex grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. More via Rolls-Royce

Precision Tooling Academy helps Brandauer win SME Employer Skills Champion title

The UK’s first Precision Tooling Academy has been recognised by a national charity dedicated to closing skills gaps in UK engineering and manufacturing.

Metal pressings and tooling specialist Brandauer was named as the SME Employer Skills Champion of the Year by Enginuity for the way it has joined forces with In-Comm Training to bring the technical upskilling facility in the West Midlands to fruition. More via The Manufacturer

Morrisons manufacturing site to use digital twin as part of decarbonisation journey

The manufacturing arm of Morrisons is set to deploy digital twin technology as part of its bid to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.

The 49,000 square foot site in Winsford, Cheshire, is operated by Myton Food Group and will become the “UK’s first large-scale food production facility”​ to use the digital twin technology from global climate technology firm IES as part of its net zero journey. More via Food manufacture

Northern Ireland engineering company secures funding for major aquarium in Singapore

A Northern Ireland aquarium engineering and manufacturing company is set to build a major new aquarium in Southeast Asia after receiving a funding package.

ELSS Engineering in Limavady will use the seven-figure HSBC UK Trade Finance package as a financial guarantee to begin the construction of the aquarium project. More via Belfast News Letter
