Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) has announced it has been awarded first place in the internationally recognised Change Awards’ ‘Future-Ready Leadership’ category, for its robust and sustainable approach to managing change across its entire business.

At the end of April ’24, judges of the Change Awards announced Domino as one of the winners in the programme that honours the best examples of change leadership and innovation across different sectors. Domino’s Change Management Framework, a comprehensive training programme for both management teams and employees, was integral to the company taking top prize in the Future-Ready Leadership category.

Domino’s award submission demonstrated the tangible results its Change Management Framework has delivered – not just in terms of financial performance, but also overall customer experience. The framework is a fundamental component of Domino’s ongoing commitment to offering an improved lifetime experience for its global customer base.

In addition, Domino’s submission also highlighted its annual Change Management Maturity Audit, conducted collaboratively with its Executive team, which ensures integration, consistency, and measurement of change management across all business functions.

Commenting on Domino’s entry, the judges said: “This is an exceptional example of holistic and sustainable change management implementation across a complex business landscape.” They were also highly impressed with the company’s focus on building an internal change network to support projects. The vote for Domino as category winner was unanimous.

Shane Burchett, Customer Experience Director, Domino Printing Sciences, added: “As an organisation, we are hyper-focused on customer experience in all our processes, demonstrated in our commitment to effectively managing change at all levels of the business. Our customers and the markets in which we operate are constantly changing, so we need to ensure that we have a robust framework to support this and drive the business outcomes for the customer. Being recognised at this year’s Change Awards is a testament to the hard work that everyone has put into this vision so far.”

In addition, two Domino employees were shortlisted for individual awards: Lucia Ivanova in the Best Capability Builder category and Stephanie Chandler in the Technology Implementation category.

Lucia was chosen as a change management professional who demonstrates exceptional capability in building skills to support a programme of change, while Stephanie was highlighted for her work on the implementation of employee-focused technology, including the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programme and pilot site projects.

Both attended the awards ceremony and said: “It was an honour to celebrate Domino’s fantastic achievement with like-minded change management professionals. We were inspired to hear about the work of other people outside Domino and learn from their examples and challenges.”

Robert Pulford, CEO of Domino Printing Sciences, added: “Our business agenda will require change, and this award is a testament to our commitment to equipping our leaders to ‘manage change’, both initiating and ensuring it delivers meaningful benefits.”

The Change Awards aim to honour and recognise the contribution of many hidden champions of change, the people and organisations who work hard every day to make a positive difference, but often go unnoticed or unappreciated. The Awards invited entries from a wide range of sectors; winners of other categories included the BBC, His Majesty’s Passport Office, and the British Antarctic Survey.
