Dorking-based engineering consultancy group Frazer-Nash has launched a new multidisciplinary electrical and electronic engineering technical team.

The new team will be fully integrated in to existing parts of the company.

The move formalises and draws together the company’s electrical and electronic sides-with nearly a quarter of the company’s 600 employees encompassing the relevant skills.

The company aims to increase its delivery of electrical, electronic, control and instrumentation to its clients– which includes government, regulators and commercial organisations.

Frazer-Nash’s consultants will support projects across the aerospace, transport, nuclear, civil marine, defence, renewable energy, oil and gas sectors

Bill Hodson, director of Frazer-Nash consultancy said: “The launch of our electrical and electronic engineering offer is an important development for us. This initiative is the result of a three-year programme to grow and develop our electrical engineering science skills.

“This latest move will ensure our clients’ operations will benefit from our refreshed structure, and we’ll be well-placed to support the full design life cycle of their equipment and plant. Our employees will benefit from a wider range of project challenges; whilst more opportunities will be available to specialists joining the business.

Founded in 1971, Frazer-Nash has, in recent year, achieved consistent growth across its skills and markets. The creation of our new electrical and electronic engineering technical team is part of a strategic intent to grow the business at a year-on-year rate of 15% in the period 2014-2019. The company had £63 million revenue in the previous financial year.
