A French manufacturer and distributor of electronic components has entered the UK market with the acquisition of a leading distributor of components and wireless solutions.
Steliau Technology acquired Basingstoke-based Alpha Micro Components in a deal supported by FRP Advisory’s Financial Advisory team.
The move represents the latest phase of Steliau’s European expansion following recent acquisitions in in Italy and Spain.
The FRP Financial Advisory team, led by director Joanne Price and partner Chris Adlam, was appointed to provide cross-border financial and tax due diligence on the deal. The FRP team reviewed the historic and forecast trading performance, net assets and cashflows to identify key risks, provided tax advice and supported deal negotiations.
The acquisition will open up cross-selling opportunities for Steliau, with Alpha Micro bringing new expertise in connectivity and geolocation technologies to the newly expanded group.
