Gripple appoints new managing director

The multi award-winning, employee-owned Gripple ‘family’ has built on the outstanding skills of its senior managers, by appointing one, at only 32 years of age, as the new managing director of Gripple Limited.

Ed Stubbs has transferred from the same role at its sister company, Loadhog – the transit packaging innovator, with Shaun Khan replacing him after setting up and overseeing a Gripple operation in India.

Sheffield-born Stubbs’ career with the group started at Gripple’s base in the US and in 2005 he returned to the UK and joined Loadhog as a product manager.

Just four years later he was appointed its general manager and in 2010 his climb up the Gripple ‘family’ ladder continued when he became managing director of Loadhog.

Stubbs commented: “After 10 years at Loadhog it’s a great privilege and a very exciting challenge to return to Gripple Ltd as managing director.

“I look forward to working with the incredibly dedicated and passionate people we have around the globe to grow the business significantly, particularly through the development and introduction of new products.”

Khan has followed a similar career path as Stubbs. In 2003 he started at Gripple Limited’s headquarters as a product manager, progressing to become a sales manager covering Middle East and Asia in 2007.

He was moved with his family to New Delhi in 2010 to establish a Gripple base aimed at developing the promising market, again for the company’s range of construction products.

Khan said: “I’m excited by this new challenge to build on Loadhog’s recent success. As a market leading innovator in reusable transit packaging solutions, I would like Loadhog to continue to develop and market cutting edge solutions that change the face of global supply chains.”
