It recognises early-career professionals whose achievements are contributing to a more innovative, resilient and globally competitive industrial base.

Employers and industry experts are encouraged to submit nominations for individuals demonstrating exceptional promise in their field. Successful entrants will join a nationally recognised cohort of emerging leaders, while their nominating organisations will also be acknowledged for their role in supporting future talent.

Award details & key dates:

  • Purpose: To recognize emerging manufacturing talent (early-to-mid career) contributing to the nationwide push for industrial revitalization.
  • Nominations Open: April 2, 2026
  • Deadline for Entry: April 29, 2026

Focus on impact and leadership

According to IACMI, honourees will be selected based on a combination of technical ability, measurable impact and leadership potential.

Nominees are expected to demonstrate meaningful contributions to manufacturing through hands-on work, innovation or process improvement, alongside clear, quantifiable results, whether through operational excellence, quality gains, safety improvements or problem-solving.

Judges will also assess an individual’s initiative and work ethic, as well as their professionalism and readiness to take on leadership responsibilities within their organisations.

Eligibility criteria

The awards are open to individuals aged 18–35 who are in the early stages of their careers and working within U.S.-based manufacturing, advanced materials, composites or related technical roles.

Eligible candidates may be employed full-time or part-time, or participating in registered apprenticeship programmes, provided they can demonstrate a tangible contribution to strengthening U.S. competitiveness, innovation or workforce development.

Submissions must include a short biography along with a supporting video or photograph for use in the awards’ honours spotlight.

With entries now open, IACMI is calling on manufacturers, industry bodies and peers to identify and elevate the rising stars shaping the future of the sector.
