British tableware manufacturer, Portmeirion Group, is holding a number of recruitment days throughout September to help bring skilled pottery workers back into the industry due to an increase in demand for Stoke and UK made products.

The events, which will take place at the Group’s Stoke headquarters, will give prospective employees opportunity to learn more about what the Group, including its brands Portmeirion, Spode, Royal Worcester and Pimpernel has to offer as an employer. Attendees will also be asked to take part in a short interview.

Commenting on the recruitment programmes, Portmeirion Senior HR manager, Samantha Pearce said: “There are a number of skilled and budding pottery workers in Stoke and indeed the rest of the UK.

“We want to give them the opportunity to see for themselves the benefits that the Portmeirion Group has to offer, as a global leader in tableware and giftware markets.

“From the first-rate working conditions to the sheer amount of development opportunities, we’re keen to attract talented potters who can enjoy the incredible worldwide growth that we are currently experiencing.

“It’s also a golden opportunity for us to unearth some new hidden talent from across the region.”

The Portmeirion Group is one of the largest employers in the Potteries and this year alone has recruited over 100 new employees.

Samantha added: “We are delighted to be able to boost the employment prospects in our region and look forward to welcoming potential employees over the next few weeks.”

The recruitment days, which are being held in conjunction with Absolute Recruitment, will take place on Thursday 18th September from 10am to 7pm and Saturday 20th September 10am to 1pm.
