A Japanese automotive supplier to Jaguar Land Rover is set to strengthen its presence in the UK by opening an office in Coventry.
Yazaki Europe, headquartered in Susono with a presence in 43 countries, also has facilities in Derby, Newcastle and Hemel Hempstead in the UK.
It supplies automotive electronics including wire, wiring harnesses, instrumentation and electronics sub-assemblies.
Yazaki general manager Paul Spencer said: “The extension to our office has been essential, as our business has expanded rapidly following increased demand from our key customers; these include Jaguar Land Rover, Honda, Aston Martin Lagonda and McLaren. To service our clients and contracts, we have taken on a number of new staff.”
Construction work has started on site which is set to open this year, with the new facility set to employ around 120 employees.
