JCB wins order worth over £13m

The order includes the new JCB X Series excavators as well as mini excavators, tracked excavators, site dumpers, backhoe loaders and compaction equipment.

The new JCB 220X is a 20-tonne tracked excavator model launched earlier this year. It is manufactured at JCB Heavy Products in Staffordshire.

The investment from Lomond Plant, which is based in Falkirk and offers hire services across the UK, is part of its expansion plans which has already seen growth in the North West of England and the Midlands, with a new depot in Yorkshire set to open.

JCB represents ‘Brand Britain’

This deal comes after Britain was named the fourth most valuable global brand in Brand Finance’s annual report.

Brand Britain remains strong according to the consultancy’s report, with a brand value of $3,750bn (£2,870bn) up from $3,129bn (£2,395bn) last year.

JCB employs around 12,000 people on four continents and sells products in 150 countries through 2,000 dealer depot locations.
