Manufacturers looking to reduce waste and make continuous improvements to their systems can benefit from a new LEAN webinar later this month.
‘Utilise technology for enhanced LEAN Manufacturing results’ is the latest in a series of free webinars from manufacturing execution systems (MES) specialist, Cimlogic.
The company has worked with many of the leading household names in the food and beverage, medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries, including Amazon; Johnson & Johnson; Unilever; Weetabix, and Wrigley.
Manufacturers are invited to join the webinar at either 10am or 3pm on Wednesday 29 April, with a live Q&A session at the end of each session.
Attendees can also submit questions in advance to be addressed during the sessions.

The 45 minute webinar will be hosted by Six Sigma Black Belt Keith Findlay, who will demonstrate how a technology platform such as a manufacturing execution system can significantly enhance existing lean practices and methodologies for increased throughput.
The session follows a successful seminar at the Lean Manufacturing Conference in Birmingham last month, which examined the value of ICT and lean-based improvements using Cimlogic case studies.
Findlay commented: “The conference gave us an opportunity to help manufacturers build a business case for lean systems. The webinar will focus on how you can use that system most effectively once it’s in place.”
The session will demonstrate how conventional paper-based maintenance systems can be replaced by software to give manufacturers greater control over the management of machinery.
The Six Sigma Black Belt continued: “Having the right technology in place lets you make real-time updates, such as adjusting the temperature to save energy or troubleshooting faults in the production line.
“These interactions between the software and the machine make management and maintenance more efficient.”
Attendees will learn how to eliminate wasteful activities such as overproduction, manage production scheduling more efficiently using paperless electronic systems, and reduce inventory by cutting down production processes. Each participant will also receive a copy of the Cimlogic LEAN white paper.
