Gloucestershire engineering firm, Renishaw has sponsored Ben Morgan as he joins the Gloucester team.

England international rugby player, Ben Morgan, won widespread acclaim for his performance in the recent Six Nations championship including being awarded Man of the Match for the England-Ireland game.

Renishaw is sponsoring Morgan as part of its involvement with the Gloucester Club’s Try Centre Educational programmes and wider community partnership initiatives. Renishaw is also sponsor of Henry Tinder, Gloucester’s Young Player of the Season.

Ben Morgan has recently moved to the Gloucester team after playing for the Llanelli Scarlets. Morgan is however, originally a local in Renishaw’s home area having been brought up in the Kingswood Parish where the company’s HQ is located. His grandmother was also formerly an employee of Renishaw.

Commenting on the decision to sponsor Morgan Renishaw’s head of communications Chris Pockett said: “Ben is a very exciting young player and like many of our own successful employees, is a great example of what can be achieved through a combination of personal dedication and supportive mentoring.”

Experiencing a period of growth and optimism, Renishaw is looking to bring this kind of mentoring to more promising manufacturing and engineering professionals. The firm is advertising for over 100 vacancies to add to its existing staff of 1,600 across five UK sites.
