Skip launches two new Lion’s Mane drinks for 2026

Functional soft drinks brand Skip is expanding its portfolio with the launch this week of its first Lion’s Mane flavours, available exclusively at Home Bargains.

Following last year’s successful national roll-out of Peach & Ginger, Elderflower & Mint (winner of a Great Taste Award), and Lemon & Basil cold-pressed CBD drinks, Skip is introducing two new sparkling options: Blood Orange and Cloudy Apple. Both will be sold at a promotional price of 99p across all 625 Home Bargains stores.

Each 250ml can contains 2,000mg of organic Lion’s Mane extract, a mushroom known for its cognitive and neurological benefits. The drinks also include fruit juices and vitamins B6 and B12, which contribute to nervous system function and help reduce tiredness and fatigue. They are suitable for vegans and contain no added sugar.

Skip co-founder Adam Pritchard, an FMCG entrepreneur with extensive experience in functional food and drink, developed the new range alongside scientific researchers from the University of Oxford.

“Skip is evolving, and we’re delighted to be launching our new Lion’s Mane range in Home Bargains this month,” Pritchard said. “Taste, refreshment and quality are the most important attributes for any drinks brand, and I believe our drinks are on a different level to any other functional soft drinks brand in the UK.

“What sets us apart is our depth of experience in functional ingredients, including functional mushrooms, and our work with Oxford researchers. We understand the rules around functional ingredients and how to use them effectively. In our two new drinks, we have made Lion’s Mane our key ingredient at a high level – eight to 20 times higher than competitor brands – providing a meaningful benefit to customers at an affordable price.”

Skip anticipates selling 500,000 cans of its five flavours at Home Bargains throughout January. The launch will be supported by monthly competitions on Skip’s social media channels and a series of collaborative events in London.
