UK food manufacturer The Compleat Food Group has published its 2025/26 ESG Report, highlighting significant progress across its sustainability targets.
A major milestone during the year was a 36% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared with the Group’s baseline year, supported by the procurement of renewable electricity across production sites and ongoing investment in energy efficiency initiatives. The business has also revalidated its Science Based Targets (SBTs) and Forest Land and Agriculture targets (FLAG), reinforcing its long-term commitment to achieving net-zero emissions.
The group has also significantly expanded its Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) programme, with environmental performance data now available across the entirety of its product portfolio including more than 4,000 products and 6,000 sub-recipes.
This report reflects our commitment to combining long-term ambitions with tangible action today, ensuring that sustainability is woven into every aspect of our business.

The data provides detailed insight into the climate, nature, water and nutritional impact of products, enabling the business to identify opportunities to improve product performance and support customer sustainability ambitions.
This is The Compleat Food Group’s third annual ESG report since it was formed in late 2021. Alongside its headline achievements, the group has strengthened its approach to nature and water stewardship, developing a dedicated water stewardship roadmap and expanding biodiversity monitoring through 17 AgriSound pollinator monitors across seven sites. Partnerships with organisations including Chester Zoo and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust have continued to support efforts to better understand and protect local ecosystems.
Beyond its own operations, The Compleat Food Group continued to create positive impact within local communities. Through its partnership with Felix, the business redistributed 169 tonnes of surplus food helping provide more than 402,000 meals to charities and community organisations. The initiative also helped prevent 187 tonnes of CO2 emissions and save 176 million litres of embedded water.
Nick Field, CEO of The Compleat Food Group, said: “For the past three years, we’ve shared our ESG progress, and we’re proud to keep building on what we’ve achieved. This report reflects our commitment to combining long-term ambitions with tangible action today, ensuring that sustainability is woven into every aspect of our business. We have proudly embedded ESG into the decisions we make, helping drive positive outcomes for our people, our planet and our communities. While the journey continues, we remain focused on making meaningful progress, building a more resilient business for the future, and ultimately, creating food to feel good.”
