Nick Hussey, CEO of Hennik Group – organiser of the awards, commented: “Industry 4.0, or the fourth industrial revolution as it is often referred to, has hit all corners of UK manufacturing in the past two years.

“Some manufacturers are already seeing the benefits of their investment, so we thought it was time to champion the best of these companies and demonstrate what this new technology can achieve by creating a Smart Factory category in our annual awards programme.”

Hussey continued: “In addition to this awards category, and due to the many questions that The Manufacturer has received regarding Industry 4.0, we decided to launch The Manufacturer Smart Factory Expo which will effectively be a demonstration of Industry 4.0 in action.”
