Engineering and technology professionals are being urged to share their experiences of trial and error as part of this year’s Tomorrow’s Engineers Week.
Running from 10 to 14 November 2025, the annual campaign brings together the engineering community to challenge perceptions and highlight the breadth of careers available in the sector. Organised by EngineeringUK, the event aims to inspire young people by showcasing real stories from engineers and technicians across the country.
The 2025 theme, Dare to Discover, focuses on creativity, exploration and the idea that innovation often comes through mistakes and unexpected outcomes. EngineeringUK is calling on professionals to contribute stories about moments when things didn’t go to plan, or when a career took an unconventional path.
These experiences will be shared in schools through campaign resources, helping young people understand that it’s normal not to succeed on the first attempt – and that determination and curiosity are key to engineering and technology careers.
Building on the success of last year’s campaign – which saw over 55,000 students across the UK take part in a #TEWeek lesson – organisers hope to engage an even wider audience of 11- to 14-year-olds in 2025.
By showcasing the diverse routes into the profession and the creativity involved, Tomorrow’s Engineers Week seeks to break down barriers and encourage more young people to see themselves in engineering and technology roles.
Engineering and tech professionals who would like to share their story can register their interest here or by emailing [email protected]. A partner toolkit will also be released closer to the event for organisations wishing to support the week through social media and other channels.
