One of Europe’s largest independent stamping and presswork specialists is heading to Productronica next week (14-17 November) with new electronics technology for the automotive sector.
Brandauer, which is located in a state-of-the-art factory in Birmingham, will be showcasing EloPin, a groundbreaking press-fit product that allows the solderless connection of terminal pins to a PCB.
The company has just completed a successful ‘first’ prototype project with a major international sensing company and is currently quoting for 10 new projects worth in excess of £1m.
Rowan Crozier, Brandauer’s CEO, said: “The ‘needle eye’ technology lends itself to automation and will offer customers in the automotive sector greater efficiency and robustness in interconnects.
“Our Special Product Division can work with the clients to manufacture to bespoke requirements, producing a prototype push fit terminal in just 15 days.”
He continued: “This will be our biggest ever presence at Productronica. We feel it is an ideal show to promote EloPin® and we already have a number of exciting meetings booked in with potential customers.
“We set ourselves the target of generating £1m sales within the first year. With all the interest and the exhibition to come, we feel we’re well on the way to achieving that!”
Brandauer, which is in Hall A5 Stand 520 at Productronica in Munich, will be revealing new stand graphics, interactive presentations and, for the first time, a new video entitled ‘what is a micron’.
In addition to EloPin®, the firm will also be presenting its expertise in lamination and microstamping, two areas that offer massive growth potential due to their potential involvement in the electrification of vehicles, aerospace manufacturing and miniaturised components.
Graham Allison, Brandauer’s technical sales manager Brandauer, concluded: “Our last appearance at Productronica generated more than 50 serious enquiries, some of which were converted into contracts worth approximately £300,000 per annum.
“We’re hoping to beat that figure this year with the bigger stand, better marketing material and a fantastic selection of components…putting UK manufacturing on the global electronics map!”
