Businesses in Worcestershire and the Marches area looking at cutting carbon and energy costs are being encouraged to take advantage of the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) free energy assessment and grant.
BEAS is a pilot programme delivered by Worcestershire County Council’s Net Zero Worcestershire team in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and is designed to help businesses save money and drive growth by providing free energy assessments and 50% match-funded grants.
Eligible small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Worcestershire and the Marches (Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin) can access grant funding ranging from £1,000 to £100,000 for energy saving projects.
Councillor Emma Stokes, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for the Environment at Worcestershire County Council, said: “Worcestershire’s businesses are at the heart of our local economy, and the Business Energy Advice Service is a fantastic initiative to help them reduce energy costs and improve sustainability. With the energy landscape constantly evolving, it’s more important than ever for businesses to act now. I encourage every eligible business to take advantage of the grants and expert advice on offer through this service.”
Following an energy assessment, businesses will receive tailored advice on practical, cost-saving measures, including recommendations for upgrading to energy-efficient equipment, implementing smart technology, and refining internal processes to lower energy bills.
Worcestershire County Council provides essential support for local businesses to not only reduce costs but also stay competitive in today’s market.
