Croydon-headquartered Zotefoams has appointed Technifab as its first US Approved Fabricator for aerospace, marking the expansion of its Global Approved Partner Programme into North America.

The move formalises a relationship spanning more than 20 years and strengthens Zotefoams’ ability to support aerospace customers in the region through a locally based specialist manufacturing partner.

Technifab, headquartered in Avon, Ohio, is a build-to-print manufacturer with established aerospace expertise. The company has previously worked with Zotefoams materials to produce aircraft components including flex hoses, environmental control system ducting and window seals.

The appointment is intended to enhance regional service delivery by combining Zotefoams’ materials expertise with Technifab’s fabrication capability and proximity to North American customers. For Technifab, the partnership provides closer alignment with Zotefoams’ aerospace portfolio and technical support.

Zotefoams’ Global Approved Partner Programme, launched recently, provides a structured framework for collaboration with selected fabricators, distributors and specialist partners across key markets. The initiative aims to improve consistency, quality assurance and accessibility for customers seeking approved partners.

“This is a major milestone for Zotefoams as we expand the Global Approved Partner Programme into North America.

“Zotefoams and Technifab have worked together for more than 20 years, so this appointment formalises a long-standing partnership built on technical understanding, manufacturing capability and a shared focus on quality.

“In aerospace, material performance is only part of the picture. Customers also seek fabrication expertise, consistency and dependable supply chain support. Technifab brings that capability in a market that matters strategically for Zotefoams, making them a strong fit for the next phase of the programme.”

– Jason Ross, sales director for North America at Zotefoams.

Technifab already processes Zotefoams’ ZOTEK® F material into complex aerospace components, supporting OEMs in reducing weight and improving efficiency, with potential benefits for fuel consumption and sustainability depending on application.

Michael Kalamasz, vice president of engineering at Technifab, said the agreement “reflects the strength of our collaboration” and provides “a clearer route for supporting aerospace customers with high-quality fabricated foam components.”

The announcement represents an early North American milestone for the programme and signals Zotefoams’ intent to deepen collaboration with specialist partners across key aerospace markets.
