CCEP completes GB line conversion to produce plastic bottles with attached caps

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) GB has completed the roll out of its attached cap plastic bottles with production now underway at its manufacturing site in Morpeth, Northumberland, making it the final site to make the switch. More via The Manufacturer

Powys-based environmental test chamber manufacturer transitions into Employee Ownership

James Technical Services (JTS), one of the UK’s few remaining manufacturers of environmental test chambers, has transitioned into Employee Ownership (EO) via an employee ownership trust (EOT) nearly 30 years since it was founded.

Established in Talgarth near Brecon by Glen and Sue James in 1995, the business started with engineer and designer Glen refurbishing second hand chambers, and Sue looking after company finances and business development. More via News From Wales

Armour manufacturer’s assets acquired out of administration

The assets of an armour manufacturer have been acquired out of administration following the company’s collapse earlier this year. Jankel Armouring Limited fell into administration in February, impacting contracts with customers including the UK Ministry of Defence as well as the company’s production line.

Alvarez & Marsal Europe were appointed as administrators and have now completed the sale of the company’s assets to NP Aerospace, with the deal expected to create and/or sustain approximately 60-70 skilled jobs. More via Business Sale Report

FANUC robot eases palletising bottleneck for salad dressing producer Brunos

By employing a 6-axis industrial FANUC robot to automate the palletising of its bottled salad dressing line, Swiss condiment producer Brunos has alleviated production inefficiencies, allowing the company to keep pace with its growing order book. More via The Manufacturer

Marvel-lous deal for mouthguard maker Safejawz

A Black Country sports equipment firm has struck a branding deal with huge US film and comic book brand Marvel.

Aldridge-based Safejawz designs and makes mouthguards and is now selling products sporting designs depicting well known characters such as Captain America, Captain Marvel, Hulk and Spider-Man. More via Business Live

Mansfield manufacturer announces record £30m orders and £3m increase in sales in latest results

Mansfield-based Deanestor, one of the UK’s leading furniture and fitout specialists, has released its latest financial results for the year ending December 2023 which show a £3m increase in turnover to £22.4m and a record order intake of over £30m.

Turnover rose by £3m in 2023, up from £19.2m in the previous year and again with a healthy operating profit. Net assets in the same period increased by £1.5m. More via Chad
