Stellantis threatens to halt UK production over EV targets
Vauxhall owner Stellantis has warned it could stop production in the UK unless the British government does more to stimulate demand for electric vehicles or change its current electrification policy.

Final Pendolino refurbished as part the UK’s biggest fleet upgrade
Avanti West Coast has concluded the £117m refurbishment of its iconic Pendolino fleet after the final completed train went into service this week.
The departure of the last Pendolino from rail manufacturer Alstom’s Widnes facility marked the end of the project – the UK’s biggest ever fleet upgrade. It has seen 574 refurbished carriages delivered in just over two years, at a rate of one completed train every two weeks. More via Rail UK

UK’s biggest wine maker mulls sale
The UK’s largest winemaker Chapel Down is considering a sale of the company as part of a strategic review into funding options for its growth plans.
The company said it was looking for long-term investment to fund new vineyards and a new purpose-built winery to be operational by 2026 and was contemplating a range of options including the sale of the business or funding from new or existing shareholders. More via Grocery Gazette
